Posted Position Title: Passport 20 LPT / MS Engineer / Technologist Career Level: Experienced FunctionEngineering/Technology Function Segment: Product Design and Development Location: United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces:Massachusetts City: Lynn Postal Code: 01910-0002 Relocation AssistanceYes Role Summary/Purpose:The NPI (New Product Introduction) Mechanical Systems (MS) / Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) Design Engineer's function will focus on MS (Oil System, nozzles, gears, sumps, bearings etc. ) component design, development, analysis, test and manufacturing from part concept through production for a new GE Centerline Engine. This will be achieved under the guidance and mentoring of an experienced engineer. Essential Responsibilities - Execute with guidance the component detailed design, development, drawing definition, design for producibility, design for reliability, analysis, test, manufacturing and introduction of a new Mechanical Systems aviation components while adhering to GE's business standards, best practice / procedures and the product / program requirements - Work closely with adjacent technical teams and senior Passport 20 LPT / MS team members to ensure clear understanding of the impact of mating parts and thermal and external loadings - Understand, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements - Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules, and contract commitments - Develop action plans, with guidance, to anticipate and respond to problems - Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures - Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments - Participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and / or tasks - Participate in program reviews Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering Additional Eligibility QualificationsGE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
